This is the hilarious moment Barcelona star Gerard Pique missed a handshake with a young footballer during a trophy ceremony.
The Spain World cup winner and former Manchester United defender was the star guest at the closing ceremony of the international tournament of FCBEscoles, that was hold in the city of Barcelona, in the eastern Spanish region of Catalonia.
The video, published in local media, shows the moment the young winners wearing the Barcelona orange strip, queue to receive their rewards from Pique and other dignitaries.
The young side's captain, who was the last in the line, received the big trophy but he forgot to shake hands with Pique, who is embarrassingly left hanging.
The kid then realises his mistake and goes back to offer his hand to Pique, who is laughing at the whole episode.
The Spanish footballer also gave a special speech in which he talked about the work done by Barcelona for young players and the values given to kids in their La Masia academy.
He said: "When I was 10 years old my dream started here, in Barcelona, and 20 years later I see that the club continues teaching footballers and people with values.
"I feel proud of being part of this club and I believe that we are the first ones in making more powerful the future of young players."
More than 1,500 kids aged between six and 14 years old participated in this tournament that was hold for four days in Barcelona.
Pique was the person in charge of giving the trophies to the champions of the four different age groups. He was accompanied by the vice president Jordi Mestre and the former player and ambassador Edmilson.
