This is the tragic moment a 16-year-old girl took her own life by jumping from the balcony of her grandmother's 11th floor flat.
Murside Siltu, who was suffering from depression, leapt from the balcony while visiting her grandmother at her home in the city of Gaziantep in Turkey's south-eastern Anatolia Region.
Her first attempt reportedly failed as she landed on the balcony below but she got up again, climbed over the railings of the 10th floor balcony and jumped again.
The shocking incident was caught on camera by an eyewitness with a smartphone who happened to be watching the 12-storey building at the time.
Paramedics arrived quickly to the scene and rushed the teen by ambulance to the nearby Sehitkamil State Hospital but doctors were unable to save her and she died in accident and emergency.
The girl lived in Gaziantep with her parents who reportedly collapsed when they heard the news and the girl's grandmother is also said to be in a state of shock.
Police are looking into the incident, in the Seyrantepe quarter of the city, but have so far declined to comment pending the outcome of their investigations.
Gaziantep, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, lies close to the Syrian border and lies just 97 kilometres (60 miles) north of the war-torn city of Aleppo.
