Two university students were captured on camera in a violent fight in which the young man beat his girlfriend to the floor.

The Christmas punch-up happened on December 19 in a classroom at a college in Wuhan city in Central China’s Hubei Province.

The boy and the girl sitting next to each other during a lecture were seated near the front of the class and the young woman was clearly unhappy about something, and is seen half-heartedly pushing and slapping her boyfriend.

He initially does not respond but then loses his temper and punches and beats her out of her seat and onto the floor, and even when she is lying defenceless continues to attempt to try and attack her.

He is then pulled off by classmates and the lecturer rushes over, with the young man dragged away as the girl continues to lie on the floor.

Incredibly it was later reported that the couple reconciled despite the viral video showing their very clear differences.

Many people commented that she would be much better off leaving him, as they were clearly not suitable.

One online netizen named Ma was typical in writing: “They’d better break up with each other now to avoid further problems in the future.”
