This is the moment a child on the back of his dad’s motorcycle falls asleep and seconds later tumbles onto the road in heavy traffic.

The incident was captured on the dashcam of the motorist travelling behind, surnamed Cao, who hooted at the dad to notify him about his fallen kid.

Footage from the city of Ankang in north-western China’s Shaanxi Province shows the dad driving off with his child riding pillion.

But a moment later the apparently sleepy kid falls to the left and slips off the back of the bike, hitting the ground together with a heavy rucksack.

The driver slams on the brakes and hoots at the dad, who very nearly drove off with his child.

Cao said: “I’d just set off from the lights when the child suddenly fell off the back of the motorbike.

“The rider didn’t even realise. He drove off and only noticed when he later turned around and saw his kid crawling on the ground.

“He’s lucky it was at a junction after a red light. It if had happened in moving traffic the outcome could’ve been very serious.”
