Shocking Ambush On Prosecutor Leaves Driver Dead

An armed gang have ambushed a prosecutor’s car leaving his driver dead at the wheel with blood shockingly splattered all over the interior of the vehicle.

The disturbing images were taken after the car prosecutor Mauricio Blancas Valerio was travelling in was attacked by an armed gang between the municipalities of Zacualpan and Ixtapan de la Sal, both located in the State of Mexico in Mexico.

Local media report Valerio was travelling along with four individuals from the General Prosecution for Justice of the State of Mexico and the driver when the attack took place.

The armed men had reportedly hidden in a vehicle in ambush and opened fire when the prosecutor’s vehicle approached them.

The driver, identified as 28-year-old David N., died in the vehicle while the prosecutor and an unnamed investigation agent were injured and taken to hospital. The other two agents, whose identities have not been disclosed were uninjured. 

Shocking images taken at the scene show the dead driver with his head on the steering wheel and blood is splattered all over the dashboard and windows of the car.

The prosecutor’s condition is said to be serious while the condition of the investigation agent is not known.

The driver lost control during the ambush and crashed the vehicle into some bushes.

It is presumed that the ‘La Familia Michoacana’ (‘The Michoacan Family’) drug cartel and organised crime syndicate, are behind the attack, according to local media.

Reports state the cartel had been threatening local police and prosecutors for two months.

The motive for the attack is not clear and an investigation has been opened. No arrests have been reported.
