A stunning TV host has told how she could not use a phone, watch TV or contact her pals as she recovered from having her arm ripped off by a bus.

TV star Dea Djurdjevic, 27, lost the limb in an accident involving three cars and two buses in the Serbian capital Belgrade in February while on her way to work.

Speaking about her recovery ordeal, the blonde presenter said: “It was difficult. You have to lie down a lot and cannot move. You start from a zero. No TV, no phone, no outside world…”

She recently said during a TV interview: “I suffered multiple injuries, including bruising on my heart and lungs and a double fracture of my pelvis and coccyx.

“My arm was ripped off, but thanks to Doctor Marko Bumbasirevic it is now reattached. He is the real hero.”

The beautiful blonde reportedly got out of her vehicle to inspect the damage and was hit by a bus that had careered off the icy road onto the pavement to avoid hitting the two cars.

According to local media, Djurdjevic has undergone seven surgeries since the fateful crash.

Doctor Bumbasirevic said: “She can already move her shoulder and we expect her to be able to move her arm at the elbow soon.”

Djurdjevic also appealed to residents to be more careful on the roads, saying: “I was on the pavement, it is very important for people to be aware of the traffic and not fussing over their phone.”

Dea also said that she “cannot wait to return to work”.

Netizen ‘Saj’ commented: “What a survivor! Well done for being so brave, she is my new idol.”
