At the end of the footage, the scooter is seen in pieces on the ground as the lorry comes to a stop.

According to local media, when the police arrived on the scene they found Ms.Gao lying on the ground next to her smashed-up scooter with a bone sticking out of her left leg.

It is believed that the 56-year-old scooter rider ran a red light and rode into the lorries’ path.

Despite narrowly missing one heavy goods vehicle, she was unable to avoid the second one which reportedly clipped her scooter and ran over her left leg.

Reports said that she was wearing a helmet at the time and the lorry narrowly avoided running over her upper body.

Ms.Gao told the police that she was rushing to get home, which led to the accident.

She was transferred to the Wenzhou People’s Hospital by ambulance where she is being treated for her leg injury.
