This is the moment a bungling woman driver loses control of her car while reversing and traps a motorbike under her chassis that sends two OAPs flying.

Dramatic footage from the city of Shicheng in East China’s Jiangxi Province shows the moment the driver, surnamed Fang, loses control of her saloon car in spectacular fashion.

Authorities say the inexperienced Fang was a “new driver” who mistook her accelerator pedal for the brakes when reversing her car on the morning of 8th January.

In CCTV video of the incident, the two pensioners can be seen sitting in front of a corner shop talking to each other when Fang’s saloon car reverses into view.

The car speeds between a narrow gap between two stopped vehicles, then wipes out a parked motorcycle before carrying the bike onto the pavement and bowling over the two elderly residents.

The pensioners are knocked off the wooden bench they were sitting on, and both end up stunned and on the ground as Fang’s car crashes to a stop.

The video shows witnesses rushing over to her saloon car, which bizarrely has its windscreen wipers turned on too.

Investigators say the accident caused no serious injuries to the pensioners.

They are, however, still looking into the case to assess the total damages caused.
