This is the moment a toddler’s parents teach the girl how to walk along the narrow edge of the wall on their seventh-floor balcony.

In the shocking clip, the tot can be seen perched on the top of the balcony wall as her dad guides her along the narrow edge.

The tyke’s mother appears to be recording the scene as the dad guides the tot along the wall, which is reportedly on the seventh-floor, even appearing to let her walk freely at some points.

The scene was recorded by an onlooker in the Caballito area of the Argentine capital Buenos Aires and posted on social media.

The police were called to the scene but the toddler was at the park with her parents by the time they arrived.

The officers are said to have called the girl’s father who claimed that a safety net, which cannot be seen in the video, is installed on the balcony and the incident was a “joke”.

Police reportedly confirmed the balcony has a security net installed, but the authorities are now investigating whether the parents are fit to look after the toddler.

The Minors and Family Department of the city are investigating the case but it is not expected to result in a criminal investigation.

Netizen ‘Carlos Clavero’ commented: “This is a way of encouraging the kid to do that without a net, and then what?”

While ‘Graciela Zubia’ said: “What idiots the parents are, later the kid is killed and they will want to die from the pain, they are irresponsible and immature.”
