A morbidly obese 31-year-old reality star who appeared on a weight loss show has died of a sudden heart attack.

Carlos Vicente Sinopoli took part in the weight loss reality show ‘Cuestion de Peso’ (‘Question of Weight’) in 2013 when he weighed a whopping 260 kilogrammes (40.9 stone).

However, the overweight Argentine was unable to conform to the TV doctor’s diet and exercise regimen and left the reality show weighing 231 kilogrammes (36.3 stone).

Sinopoli then became embroiled in a scandal when he was placed under house arrest on suspicion of being involved in a robbery, according to local media.

At the time, cops seized weapons and vehicles and two other men were also arrested.

Sinopoli began to pile on the pounds again in the last few months and reportedly had to leave his home with the aid of firefighters.

However, the 31-year-old is not the first ‘Cuestion de Peso’ contestant to die after appearing on the show.

In 2017, Valeria Garcia, who appeared on the show with her twin sister in 2013, was reportedly struck by a car but was unable to be helped in a timely fashion due to her weight.

Juan Videla, who appeared on the show in 2008, also died in 2017 due to health issues surrounding his 400-kilogramme (63-stone) weight.
