This viral video with more than two million views shows the moving moment a dad cries in his car moments after dropping his child off on their first day of nursery school.

The short clip going viral on China’s Twitter-like microblogging site Sina Weibo shows the father wiping tears from his eyes as he sits behind the wheel of his Mercedes-Benz.

His wife, who is filming the video, had accompanied him as they dropped off their child on their first day of nursery school in an unidentified Chinese city.

She reportedly began filming her husband’s reaction to seeing their child head off to school for the first time when she noticed him tearing up in their car.

Social media users who have shared the clip hundreds of times recalled their own experiences sending their children to school.

Images also showed other dads crying in their cars or right outside their children’s nursery schools moments after waving goodbye.

Social media user ‘Ximutou’ said: “Every father knows this feeling. It’s a mixture of reluctance, heartbreak, anticipation and happiness.”

‘Sunsunsunsunsun Dachi’ added: “This is part of growing up! I can totally relate to the dad’s feelings.”

‘Xiucai Azhe’ wrote: “When he starts supervising his child’s homework in the future, he will cry again.”
