A drunk teenage girl has cheated death after falling from a glass viewing platform 330 feet up after going out clubbing.

The 19-year-old, whose name has not been released, was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after falling from the observation platform near the town of Eichsfeld in central Germany’s state of Thuringia.

The teenager had walked alone from a nightclub to the feature, atop the 500-metre (1,640-foot) Sonnenstein Hill, in the early hours of the morning.

Police believe she lost her balance and fell from the platform which juts out from the top of the hill, some 100 metres (330 feet) above the ground.

Cops believe the angle of the hill, couple with the fact the ground was very soft after heavy rain, probably saved the young woman’s life.

The teenager was found by her friends who went looking for her around the platform after realising she had gone missing.

She replied to their shouts after which they alerted the emergency services.

According to the police, the young woman was able to continue communicating with them until rescuers arrived at the scene.

Paramedics said they believed the teenager was drunk. She was rushed by helicopter to a local hospital with severe injuries.

Police were unable to give an update on her latest condition.
