Crowd Lifts Car Off Teen Run Over By Woman Driver

This is the moment a woman driver pulling out of a parking space runs over a schoolboy cycling by and drags him as she turns before onlookers spring into action to lift the vehicle off him.

The incident took place in the city of Yichun in East China’s Jiangxi Province in front of the Jindu Kaixuan Residential District.

The footage dated 21st March shows the unnamed female motorist driving out of her parking spot and turning left to merge into the opposite side of the street.

The woman’s silver car pulls out into the unnamed schoolboy, aged 15, as he is cycling past and knocks him off his bike.

Despite the collision, the woman driver does not stop and continues to drive to the other side of the street, running the boy over and dragging him under her car several feet before finally stopping.

The distressing footage shows the boy’s legs moving side to side beneath the chassis of the car as over half a dozen passersby rush over to help him.

The rescuers lift the car off the boy, and footage shows him being treated by paramedics a few minutes later.

The pupil, who attends Zhangshu No 2 Middle School, is said to be in stable condition.

He is being treated for multiple abrasions but is not in any life-threatening condition.

Reports did not say whether the driver was arrested after the accident.
