This is the moment a bungling woman driver rear-ends a slow-moving car and flips her Mini Cooper onto its roof.

The accident happened in the city of Harbin, capital of China’s north-eastern Heilongjiang Province, at 6:20pm on 18th February.

Dashcam footage from a nearby car shows the Mini Cooper, the exact year and model of which were not given, going at a reportedly steady 40 to 50 kph (24 to 31 mph).

The front of the two-door hatch then suddenly clips the car in front of it, causing the Mini to bounce up into the air and then overturn.

In the dramatic video, the Mini Cooper ends up on its roof like a tortoise on its shell, and slides across the road for several feet before stopping.

Witnesses can be seen rushing over to the woman and helping her out her car, which they say had a mangled driver’s side door due to the hard landing on the left side of the vehicle.

Witnesses said the crash appeared to happen as the woman tried to overtake the vehicle ahead of her, while its driver attempted to merge into her lane.

Local authorities say the female motorist was not injured, and that further investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the crash.
