The winner of the Miss Russia 2017 beauty pageant insists that she gets upset if people do not criticise her.
Blonde stunner Polina Popova, from western Russia's Sverdlovsk Oblast region, beat 49 other finalists to be crowned the winner.
She was the first blonde winner of the contest in 10 years and not everybody agreed with the judges' decision.
But Miss Popova said that she was not too concerned by what anybody else thought.
She said: "It is a pity that I have no time to reply on messages. I understand everything: kind words and criticism.
"I believe if there are no critics - this is not normal. I would be upset if nobody would criticise me."
Miss Popova made the comments in an interview in which she shared her experience of the contest and her plans for her three million RUB (42,000 GBP) prize money.
She said: "I have been working since the age of 15, so I don’t need the money. Most likely I will give it to an orphanage or a hospital."
Miss Popova revealed that none of the girls were allowed out without a bodyguard in the run-up to the final at the Barvikha Luxury Village Concert Hall, outside Moscow.
"Me and 49 competitors were staying at a hotel, getting prepared. I couldn’t even see my parents," she said.
And she stressed that she was happy that her parents were not present at the award ceremony.
"I would have been more nervous for them than for myself," she said.
The model will now represent her country at the Miss World and Miss Universe competitions later this year.
