A London trader has unveiled a burger inspired by Dubai’s extravagantly luxurious Burj Khalifa hotel - with a price tag to match.

Owner of The Roadery mobile burger cafe Dan Shearman will debut his 50-GBP "Burg-Khalifa" creation at a food festival called Eat The World DXB to be held in Dubai’s Burj Park between 23rd and 25th February.

The Burg-Khalifa includes five beef patties made with Wagyu beef, some truffle cheese, saffron mayonnaise, blackberry ketchup and even what is advertised as "ethically sourced" foie gras.

The whole stack is held within a bun topped with 24 carat gold leaf, which is edible.

Dan said: "We’re all extremely proud of The Burg-Khalifa. We’ll have a limited stock so we suggest Dubai foodies get down to Burj Park nice and early - you don’t want to miss this!"

He added: "With its undisputed reputation for luxury and incredible ability to build almost anything bigger and better than the rest of the world, we couldn’t return to Eat The World DXB without something extra special this year."

This year the annual event will include an outdoor cinema, a food market and a celebrity chef theatre.
